Sertoma is a civic-service club that takes its name from its primary goal - SERvice TO MAnkind. This is the philosophy we pursue while enjoying the fellowship that comes from cooperation, friendship, and mutual helpfulness. Individuals working together can make a difference in the community.

We were chartered in May 1996 by 30 area men and women. Our meetings are at noon on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at the Little Apple Brewing Company in the Westloop Shopping Center. We hold a board meeting on the third Tuesday of each month.

Internationally, Sertoma's primary service project is to assist those with speech, hearing, and language disorders. But each club also sponsors community projects to benefit a variety of their local needs. Our 2006-2007 theme is Sertoma: The Trademark of Service - to distinguish ourselves among service organizations. Our slogan is Make Life Worthwhile.

If you would consider joining us, please contact one of our members, call our hotline, or e-mail us. There is a free lunch - please come to a meeting and see if you might want to help us help Manhattan.
